1. Maxyne C. ZERBY, daughter of Percy Brandon ZERBY and Ora Cecilia MILLION, was born on 11 Jun 1919 in Supply, OK, died on 30 Sep 2007 in Stillwater, OK at age 88, and was buried on 6 Oct 2007 in Memorial Park, Oklahoma City, OK.

Maxyne grew up in Supply where her family owned the Bank of Supply. Both of her parents worked in the bank. Her grandfather, who had owned the bank, died when Maxyne was only one. Bonnie, her grandmother, built a smaller home after Burrel died and the Zerby's moved into the nice large home at the edge of town. In 1929 the bank moved to Woodward. In 1931 the bank failed and the family moved to Lone Wolf.

Maxyne went to Southwestern State for her freshman year and then to Oklahoma A&M. While in college she met and married Albert Edward Dorr in 1940. Al graduated in January 1942. Edward Max was born in February 1942 and Dana Michael in September 1943. While Al served in World War II, Maxyne and the children lived with her parents in Perry, OK where she was able to complete her degree.

After the war they moved to Oklahoma City where Al took a job with OG&E. Patrick was born in May 1947. Al and Maxyne joined the little neighborhood Presbyterian Church that Maxyne really enjoyed. This was the first time she had ever been involved in a church. Maxyne was always active in school affairs and was a Cub Scout den mother many times. Jon Real was born in April 1950 and Kent Anthony in November 1952.

At this point they had five boys in a small three bedroom house. Al's company, Comfort, Inc., was doing very well which enabled Maxyne to design a nice five bedroom home which they moved into in 1958. In 1959 Al and Maxyne took their first major overseas triéíp, a Chrysler trip with five days in Paris and five in Rome. She had been an art major in school and just to be able to see all the art work that she had studied was overwhelming. As a child she had an intense interest in maps and geography. Over the next few years they were fortunate to go on more Chrysler trips; all of these were first class all the way. Most of the time they went with Lewis and Joan Carter (Lewis was Al's partner). Some of the trips included Miami Beach, Majorca, Barcelona, Madrid, Athens, Naples, Pompeii, Venice and London.

In 1971 there were a number of conflicts within the family that led Maxyne to turn her life over to the Lord. In July 1974 she attended the Congress on World Evangelism in Lausanne, Switzerland, which was very meaningful to her. Over the next seventeen years she took many trips to conferences all over the world. She went to Israel, and made many trips to China Europe. Sometimes she would take one of her grandchildren.

After Al died in 1995, she withdrew to her home at the lake and never was really involved outside of her home. In 2002 she moved to the Renaissance Assisted Living Center in Stillwater with her dog Missy. She suffered from Alzeimer's disease and had to be moved to the advanced care building in 2006. Over the next few years she gradually lost most of her memory but still remained a loving person. She died on September 30, 2007 in her bed at the Renaissance Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was a wonderful woman and mother.

Maxyne married Albert Edward DORR, son of Albert Ernest DORR and Laura Estelle BOSWELL, on 1 Jun 1940 in Stillwater, OK. Albert was born on 3 Sep 1918 in Macon, Fayette Co., TN, died on 13 Jul 1995 in Oklahoma City, OK at age 76, and was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
